Es— trada, a 2008 graduate of Lake Stevens High School, recently graduated from the US. Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N. 1. During the eight-week training pro- gram, Estrada completed a vigorous training curriculum consisting of aca- demics and practical instruction on water safety and survival, military customs and BREAKFAST 9 AM ‘ courtesies, seamanship skills, physical fitness, health and wellness, first aid, fire fighting and marksmanship. Estrada and other recruits also received instruction on the Coast Guard's Core Values—Honor, Respect and Devotion to Duty—and how to apply them in their military performance and personal conduct. Estrada will join 36, 000 other men and women who comprise the Coast Guard’s workforce. The races will start and finish at Lake Stevens High School Stadium. The 5Kwill start at 8:30 am. at the comer of 115th Ave. NE and 26th St. NE. The 10K will start at 8:40 am. at the comer of 1 15th Ave. NE and 26th St NE. The kid’s run for ages 12 and under starts at approximately 9:30 am. on the back stretch of the stadium track. Adults are encouraged to run with the kids at no cost. Registration on the day of the race and number pickup will be on the concourse behind the Lake Stevens High School Sta- dium starting at 6:30 am.
