Longtime Lake Stevens resident Carlie
Elledge is on to a successful college career
at the University of Washington and was
inducted into the University of Washing-
ton Varsity Boat Club. -
Elledge, a constant honor student
in the Lake Stevens school system also
rowed for the Lake Stevens Rowing Club
and in her junior year the team won a
gold medal at the prestigious Brentwood
Regatta in Canada.
Now in her sophomore year at the UW
she is competing for a position on the
rowing team with some early success
having stroked the IV boat to victory in
the Head of the Lake Regatta in October

In addition to a grueling training and
racing schedule Elledge has a History
Department scholarship for outstanding
scholar in American studies.
For her second year with Washington
rowing Elledge is a recruited Division One
athlete on a partial athletic scholarship.

ated from the Basic Field Artillery Cannon
Crewmember Advanced Individual Train-
ing course at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

perform operator maintenance on prime
movers,.self-propelled Howitzers, and
ammunition vehicles; store, maintain, and

Bohling is the son of Shan K. Bohling of
Everett, Wash.
His wife, Tiffany, is the daughter of Laura
P. Wellman and Gary N. Wellman, both of
Lake Stevens, Wash.
