Community invited to meet
new GF SD employees

The Granite Falls community is in-
vited to attend a community reception
to meet two new Granite Falls School
School District Superintendent and Mi-
chele Wadeikis is the new Granite Falls
High School Principal.
The reception will take place Monday,
September 12 at 6 pm. in the Granite
District employees.
Falls High School, 1401 100th St. NE in
Linda Hall is the new Granite Falls

A 61 —year old Lake Stevens woman died
Saturday night in a traffic crash after los—
ing control of the pickup she was driving
and traveling off the southbound lanes
of Interstate 5 v about ten miles south of
Ashland. The pickup was pulling a trailer
with a 32-foot aluminum boat.
According to Oregon State Police (OSP)
Sergeant Mark Byrd, on August 20, 2011
at approximately 10:46 pm. a 2005 Dodge
pickup driven by Bernice Kay Gracey from
Lake Stevens was southbound on Inter-
state 5 when she lost control on a straight

Area Command office are continuing the
investigation to determine the cause of
the fatal crash.
The southbound lanes of travel were
restricted to one lane at the scene for ap-
proximately five hours while the investiga-
